Mod Podge buffet revamp.

I really can't believe that this is Kim's first Mod Podge project.  She's definitely got the mojo - as you can see from this buffet revamp found on her blog Savvy Southern Style.  I will tell you that she used fabric and some fun glazing to get the effect you see.  It really puts my Mod Podge furniture re-dos to shame, it's so gorgeous.  Visit Kim here so that you can see some of her close-up pictures and tell her how much you love this piece.

PS - I recently did a review of the book Sew Retro for Craft Critique. Visit here to read it.

Amy, thanks so much for featuring this project. I didn't know you are in Atlanta. Have a good day!

My friend has this identical buffet; it was given to her following Hurricane Katrina (it had a wonky drawer and a few small issues, but it looked fine and served her needs for storage). It was not an expensive piece of furniture originally, but done up this way, it has a great, upscale look! I HAVE to forward this to her!

Hey I just came over from SSStyle. So glad I found this blog. It will be a great inspiration for me. Lots of tips too I like that, Thanks.

WOWOWow YOu go Kim!!! I love this...and the fact that it is her first mod podged project just goes to show that southern girls start BIG!!! Beautiful work!!

Hey Amy, thanks for sharing- Kim's project is awesome! That fabric is the perfect combo for the buffet. Just stunning and very inspired.

I saw this on Kim's blog and fell head over heels in love with it!! So glad you featured it!

This just gave me a great idea for the hutch in my kitchen. Thanks, Amy!

This is just gorgeous...and the artwork is so sweet. Thanks for sharing!! (and thank you for the FB shout out- you are awesome!)

Hi, I am new at Mod Podge and this buffet is incredible. My first project with Mod Podge is to cover, with thick scrapbook paper, my father's photo album. The chipboard seemed very thick but when I applied the Mod Podge it curved as it was drying adn still is.

I applied Mod Podve on the cover, added the paper and put Mod Podge on the paper and let it dried. No second coat. Now I am not ready to do the back cover until I understand what makes it curve.

Can you help?

Sylvie
