Cathie and Steve's passion for crafting always shows so well with their Halloween ideas. It's their favorite and you can tell! This time it's using napkins from the dollar store and a clear glass plate - and I love how the book pages slightly show through the skulls, which makes it look like the plates were meant to be this way. DIY: burlap cake bunting.

I've told you that Mod Podging fabric can make it easier to cut and prevent fraying - the same goes for burlap, as Cathie discovered when she made a coming home cake topper for her husband. If you need to whip up a quick little banner for a birthday, or just to make someone feel appreciated, you should. I would love it if one of the pugs would learn how to do this! Create a fabric pendant with rubber stamps.

I get asked all the time if you can use Mod Podge with stamps - and the answer is yes! Cathie and Steve have come up with a great way to stamp fabric and seal using Mod Podge. Sewing inspired art collage.

I love covering things with leftover clothing patterns - remember the gift box I did a few years ago?  You can always get fabric patterns like this inexpensively at the thrift store, or you can use any of those leftover from a project you did.  Either way, this art is great on a budget and uses up a lot of items in your stash.  It was created by my friend Cathie Filian for Plaid, and I can see a wall of different types of art like this.  I would also love to receive one as a gift, wouldn't you?  Find the complete instructions here.

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm being completely serious - I need one of these as soon as possible. Thanks to Amy from Buggie and Jellybean, I'm going to spend the next few years searching for as many ticket rolls as I can find. I want to make some of these for gifts, for supplies, for centerpieces. . . I love ticket bowls! Also to note, if you are a beginning Mod Podger, this would be a GREAT project for you. No, this isn't an April Fool's Day joke - it's real. Mod Podge Dimensional Magic is coming your way, and coming soon. What is it, you ask? It's a clear product that adds dimensional accents to your projects . . . just squeeze it on, and it dries raised. It's got an epoxy look but without the yicky two step process and without the cost and smell. I love this stuff, especially with my decoupage projects! Necklaces made from nuts and bolts, almost literally.

Well not actually nuts and bolts, but close - washers! I haven't posted a jewelry piece in awhile, so now it's time. Andy from Poppies at Play created these, and boy, are they cute. It really doesn't get any less expensive, and it really doesn't get any easier. After Mod Podging the paper to the washers, Andy decorated with cording and beads. Voila! One more thing to add: Cathie and Steve did a Creative Juice episode with this concept and Diamond Glaze instead of Mod Podge (for a raised surface). Check out the video!

I post projects by Cathie and Steve on a pretty regular basis; it's not just because they are super crafty, but they tend to be super thrifty too!
