The Mark Montano Project debut episode.

If you have following crafting for awhile then you certainly know the name Mark Montano. He's known for TV shows such as TLC's While You Were Out . . . and best selling craft books like The Big Ass Book of Crafts. Mark is always doing something amazing, so it's no wonder that he's started a new web series called The Mark Montano Project on The Stylish YouTube channel.

His debut video is out (yay!) and in it in makes a $20 Emmy Dress with designer Kelly Nishimoto. You won't believe it, but there is no sewing required on the skirt. And the top? A t-shirt! The process is so easy, and this is just the beginning of his awesome series.

Take a peek at Episode One: Hot Glue Couture above. There are two parts. I'm so thrilled for Mark and can't wait to see the rest of the episodes!

Don't forget to follow Mark on Facebook or Twitter for more crafty and DIY goodness.

Don't forget your mom this Mother's Day!

I'm a huge fan of eBay - and I love their "Mom Jeans" video series (hilarious!) They have a new video you have to check out called "Susie's New Place." It's really sweet. Don't forget your mom this Mother's Day!

This post was sponsored by eBay, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Create a fabric pendant with rubber stamps.

I get asked all the time if you can use Mod Podge with stamps - and the answer is yes! Cathie and Steve have come up with a great way to stamp fabric and seal using Mod Podge. You can even use Dimensional Magic on top to create a fabric pendant just like this one. Cathie and Steve will show you how to do it in one of their videos, and then you can mass produce jewelry for all of your friends. Visit Cathie's blog to see how it was done.

DIY doily wedges.

There is nothing more to say about these shoes than they are crazy! Whether you like them or hate them, they are absolutely wild. If you are looking for a unique pair of footwear, these are for you. A pair of shoes could even be covered in pink doilies for Valentine's Day. Yes, that's kind of a dare.

Visit the link to find a tutorial video, and also consider what else you could cover in old doilies besides shoes.

Get a little creative new craft channel!

I'm SO excited to announce that my friends Jen, Beckie and Heather have started a new online show called Get a Little Creative that has debuted on My Craft Channel!  We're also discussing it in the International Delights CoffeeTalk community.  Please come by and share your thoughts.  These ladies are so talented and I couldn't be happier for them and their first episode.  Yay!

Hands on crafts for kids.

I dearly love my friend Candie Cooper.  She's a very talented jeweler, artist and book author.  I am excited to share with you her new project - Hands on Crafts for Kids.  It's a show that will be on PBS in various cities as well as on YouTube . . . perfect for those of you who need some homeschool ideas (there are lessons), and also for those who just want to do amazing crafts with children.  Learn more about the show and where to watch it here.

Make an iPad concert theater.

Okay, I admit that this project is totally gratuitous.  But it's perfect for the dude in your life.  Spotted on Katz Blog, this iPad concert theater allows you to "experience" a concert complete with a cheering crowd - courtesy of Mod Podge, some images and a shoebox.  It's pretty funny and I want to make this.  Visit the tutorial (with a video) here.

Sylvia's super awesome maker show.

I try not to boss all of you around, but this time I MUST ask that you visit Sylvia's Super Awesome Maker Show.  Now.  Sylvia is truly the coolest nine-year-old around, and her latest episode is about crafts you can do with Mod Podge.  Sylvia is amazing, and I want to be like her when I grow up.  Visit Sylvia and watch videos here.

Dimensional Magic washi tape pendants.

This Dimensional Magic video by Tiffany from IHeartArt is super cool - I love washi tape and have been trying to figure out how to use it with Mod Podge.  Of course Tiffany would know.

Here's what Tiffany had to say about Dimensional Magic:

Uses: Jewelry Making, Paper Crafting, and Home Decor.
Things I love: It dries clear, doesn't sag of flatten out, keeps dimension, easy to control and to work with.
Things I don't like: I'm not certain if it is archival or acid-free. It doesn't say on the packaging.

All in all, I will definitely be reaching for my bottle of Dimensional Magic when I want to add clear dimension to my projects!

Thanks to Tiffany for a great review. Don't forget to visit her blog IHeartArt.  There is always something creative to be inspired by.

Terri O birdhouse bonanza.

I've always like birdhouses, especially the non-utilitarian kind that are use for decoration rather than for feeding - though honestly I think some of the cute birdhouses I've seen at the craft stores can accomplish both purposes!  Terri O does a fun video on decorating birdhouses and even mentions Mod Podge.  Take a peek here when you have a chance.

PS - You can seal any of the birdhouses you create with Outdoor Mod Podge to make them suitable for outdoor use.

Simply green board book birdhouse.

I found this birdhouse on Daily Danny - an eco-friendly blog by green living expert Danny Seo - and it reminded me of a funny story.  You see, I LOVED The Fox & Hound when I was little.  So much so, that my mom ordered me a personalized Fox & Hound story where the printer puts the child's (my) name in the text (see an example of what I'm talking about here).  The problem is that I thought the book was really about me - that someone had written it specially about yours truly.  My best friend Stephani's name was even in there, so I was sure!  I guess I was a very literal child.  Anyhoo, seeing this Fox & Hound book birdhouse brings it all back.  And makes me smile.

Visit here to see how Danny puts together his book birdhouse - there's even a video from the Today show.  It would be very fun to do a winter-hemed board book birdhouse for this time of year, or even for any holiday.  Danny's got a lot of great eco-friendly ideas, so pay him a visit and tell him I sent you.

Recycled lunch bag mini-album.

I squealed when I saw this project by Avital at Creativity Prompt - I love, love mini-albums.  Recycled ones are even better.  I would say that Avital is one of the most talented people I know when it comes to recycling items into something wonderful.  She has a knack, you know?  Avital used the perfect paper to give the project a worn out, vintage-y look.  You should make one too, and there's a video to watch.  Avital has always taken good care of her readers like that.  Visit the tutorial here.

Mod Podge fabric memo board with Georgia Peachez.

Suzy from Georgia Peachez recently got her hands on some Fabric Mod Podge, and I'm loving what she thought up.  Check out this corkboard that she covered with fabric bits - not only is it utilitarian and budget friendly, but it's stinkin' cute!  Suzy is even more awesome because she made a video showing you how to use the goods.

And guess what.

Suzy is having a Fabric Mod Podge giveaway - visit here to enter (and to see her cool project/video).  I promise you want some Fabric Mod Podge.  It's amazing.

Sammy the littlest Podger.

Meet Sammy!  I like to call him Sammeh.  He is the son of my friend Megan and grandson of my friends Holli and Patty - isn't he the cutest thing?  Sammy is two, and he is very special.  He loves to Mod Podge.  As a Mod Podge blogger, it is obviously my responsibility to do interviews with Mod Podge lovers.  But before we get into that, I would like you to watch Sammy Mod Podging.  This is one of the sweetest videos I've ever seen.

Have you heard of The DIY Dish?

Meet Kim and Kris, crafty twins-ies who like to create and make videos about their projects.  Kim started YouCanMakeThis.com in 2006, and Kris managed SWAKembroidery.com starting in 2008.  Basically they have craftiness running through their identical veins!  They craft a little bit of everything, and because they are wonderful they love Mod Podge.  Check out their two-minute craft season opener where they make a jewelry holder using Mod Podge - I love their witch hat episode also.  I hope you enjoy.

Mini book out of soap wrap.

My friend Avital from Creativity Prompt is magical, because magical people are able to create fun things out of recycled items. If you can do this, then you are magical too. Avital used several formulas of the Podge and minimal supplies to crete the fun little books you see above, and she even recorded a VIDEO showing you how to do it. Avital is completely on the ball in addition to being an awesome crafter. Go here to see everything - isn't she thorough? You are going to love this project, I promise.

Creativity happens with a glittered pumpkin birdcage.

Halloween is a magical time for me. One of the reasons it is my favorite holiday is because am inspired to do projects with glitter, rhinestones and other fantastical objects that I don't use on a regular basis. Enter Jo Pearson, creative mind behind Where Creativity Happens. Jo also sees the magic of the holidays--and the best part is that she is a regular user of craftbellishments such as glitter and rhinestones, so she is an expert.

She also likes Mod Podge.

Please visit Jo here to see her collection of amazing craft videos, one of them being the glittered pumpkin birdcage above. The birdcage is so creative you won't believe it - and it uses a healthy dose of Mod Podge. Oh, and I had no idea those fake pumpkins were hollow. Am I the only one?

Not so much precious as pretty trendy baby blocks.

Before I begin, has anyone else noticed that the favicon (little icon next to the blog address) on Martha Stewart's website is her face? I'm not going to favicon my face, but you can right here. Okay, done with boring computer stuff.

I was drawn in by the colors and shapes of these baby blocks, courtesy of Martha Stewart. This is an absolutely GREAT gift for a new or expectant mom. If you can coordinate them with her baby's decor, all the better, because she can make a little display on the baby's dresser or shelves. To attempt this project, visit the Martha Stewart website right here. Also check out the video featuring crafter Ashley Steele from Hiccup Inc. Because nothing is better than demonstration, right?

Mod Podge fabric embellishment tutorial.

I recently happened upon an interview with Holly Hanks - a Label Tulip Girl. Label Tulip is a delightful little scrapbooking club with monthly kits, and Holly Hanks is one of their designers. This sneak peek of one of her layouts had me interested:

Then I saw the picture below:

This, my friends, is a little fabric embellishment done with Mod Podge. Holly has a posted a video for it on the Label Tulip blog, which you can find right here. She's very talented, so you if you want to see some of her other crafts beyond this vroom vroom car, visit her Charmed Life blog here. She has lots of delightful, I mean amazing, scrapbooking layouts for your viewing pleasure.
